Description
Dahua’s entry PoE kit, and the one we would point most homes at. One network cable to each camera carries power and video from the recorder.
The cameras are DH-IPC-HDW1639TP-A-IL-S6 eyeballs: 6MP with Smart Dual Light and a built-in microphone. They run on infrared and can switch to warm white light for colour footage. White or grey, 2.8mm lens.
The recorder is the DHI-NVR4104HS-P-EI with four PoE ports, or the 8-port DHI-NVR4108HS-8P-EI if you tick the upgrade. Both are WizSense NVRs, so alerts come from people and vehicles. Pick the hard drive size in the recorder’s own options.
About the camera: DH-IPC-HDW1639TP-A-IL-S6
6MP (3200 × 1800) is a clear step up from a 4MP camera. The 2.8 mm lens covers 110°, and at that width it will identify a face at about 6.4 m.
Smart Dual Light runs in the camera. It stays on infrared at night and switches to its warm light when it detects a person, so you get colour when it counts and less light spilling over the fence the rest of the time. Both reach up to 30 m. Smart H.265+ keeps recordings small, and there is a microphone built in.
