Birmingham CCTV Supplier and Trade Counter
CCTV101 is a Birmingham CCTV supplier with a working trade counter on Camp Hill Industrial Estate, a couple of minutes outside the city centre. Cameras, recorders, cable, connectors and network gear go out over that counter and by courier. We do not install. Search for CCTV in Birmingham and most of what comes back is installation firms wanting to price the job up and fit it for you, which is a different trade from ours. We sell the parts. What we sell
Roughly 890 lines, covering CCTV, intruder alarms, networking and the odds and ends that join them together. Most of those lines are not held in depth, and we would rather tell you that than pretend the warehouse is bottomless. A working range sits on the shelf at Camp Hill for people who need something today, and anything else can usually be here for the next morning if the order lands before noon. That is how the awkward stuff gets found, like the power supply nobody costed or the connector that turns a straightforward job into a wasted afternoon.
- Cameras. Turret, dome, bullet and PTZ, in IP and HD-over-coax, from 2MP up to 8MP, including the white-light models that hold colour after dark.
- Recorders. DVRs and NVRs from 4 to 32 channels, with or without a drive fitted. If the channel count and the storage maths are the sticking point, read what size NVR do I need.
- Kits. Matched camera and recorder bundles with the drive already in, for anyone who would rather buy one box than build a parts list.
- Cable. External-grade Cat5e and Cat6, shotgun and RG59 combo, in cut lengths or on full boxes and drums.
- Networking. PoE switches, injectors, patch leads and wireless links for the spans you cannot cable.
Hikvision and Dahua do most of the heavy lifting here, with Uniview (UNV) not far behind on jobs where the price has to come down a little. A counter and showroom you can walk into
Plenty of outfits call themselves a CCTV shop in Birmingham. Some turn out to be a roller shutter with an intercom screwed to it. Others are a website with an 0121 number and a pallet of gear sitting two counties away. Unit 60 has a counter you can lean on and a demonstration room with cameras running live on monitors.
That matters most for arguments about image quality. A spec sheet says 4MP. A monitor shows you what 4MP actually looks like at twenty metres in bad light, and whether the white-light camera really beats infrared once the lights in the car park go off. It also shows how slowly a cheap PTZ moves when you push it, which no datasheet has ever admitted in print. People walk in set on one model and walk out with another. It happens regularly.
Bring a site photo or a rough plan. We will go through lens choice, channel count, whether the coax already on the building is worth reusing, and where the recorder is going to live. Expect an argument if you want 8MP down cable that will never carry it. The budget does not change the physics. We will also say when the cheap option is the right one, because plenty of the time it is.

Collection costs nothing and takes minutes on anything sitting on the shelf. Order online and pick it up, or turn up and buy at list price over the counter. Both courier speeds show at checkout.

Trade accounts
Trade pricing sits behind an account. Apply through the contact page or ask at the counter, and tell us what you do and roughly what you get through. An account makes sense for anyone ordering more than once or twice a year. The pricing improves, and your order history is sitting there when you need to match a camera to a recorder you fitted a while back and whose model number you have long forgotten.
Most of the catalogue is open to anyone at list price with no account at all. A handful of lines are trade only. Those show “Login for Price” where the add-to-cart button would normally be, and they need an approved account before you can order them.
Who buys from us
- Installers and security companies. The biggest group by volume. They already know the model numbers and want the order picked and waiting so they can grab it on the way past. Being close to the Middleway is the whole appeal.
- Electricians and general trades. Bolting a four-camera system onto a job they are already on site for. They want a kit and the right cable, plus five minutes on lens angles before they commit to anything.
- Facilities and property managers. Schools, care homes, industrial units and multi-let offices, usually replacing failed cameras on an existing recorder or extending a system that has run out of channels.
- Landlords and small businesses. Shops, takeaways, workshops and HMOs across Birmingham. Normally one recorder and four to eight cameras, fitted by an electrician they already trust.
- People doing their own. Plenty run their own cable and set the system up themselves, and we are happy to spend the time on it. We will also say plainly when a job wants somebody with a ladder and more practice.

Finding Unit 60
Unit 60, Camp Hill Industrial Estate, John Kempe Way, Birmingham, B12 0HU. Put the full postcode into the satnav, or use the coordinates 52.466395, -1.880075, which drop you on the estate rather than at the far end of the road. We are in the Sparkbrook & Balsall Heath East ward, just off the Camp Hill end of the A4540 Middleway.
From the south or the M42, take the A34 Stratford Road up through Sparkhill and Sparkbrook and join the Middleway. Coming off the M6 at junction 6, the A38(M) Aston Expressway drops you into the city and you follow the Middleway round from there, while the M5 in from the west puts you on the A456 Hagley Road and onto the same ring road. Driving a long-wheelbase van? Ring first. We will talk you through the turn-in and the access before you are committed to it.
One thing worth knowing if you are in a van or an older diesel. Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone covers the area inside the A4540 Middleway ring road, and B12 0HU sits outside that boundary, so collecting from us carries no daily charge. Your route in is a separate question. Approach from the wrong side and you can clip the zone without meaning to, so run it through the council’s own zone checker before you travel if you are unsure about your vehicle.

Out past the city
A fair amount of the trade here drives in from outside Birmingham, and the job changes depending on which direction it comes from. Down the A41 from West Bromwich and off the M6 from Walsall it is yards, units and retrofits onto cable that is already on the wall. Across on the A4123 from Dudley and Wolverhampton, and in on the A456 from Halesowen, it is small workshops and tight domestic frontages where lens choice matters more than the number on the box.
South and east it is different again. Solihull and Sutton Coldfield mean long drives, gated entrances and cable runs that go past the copper limit. Redditch is distribution units and channel counts. Bromsgrove runs out into lanes with no lighting at all, which changes the camera. Tamworth is mostly retail parks and wide yards. Frequently asked questions
Do you install CCTV in Birmingham?
No. We supply, and that is where it stops. We will help you specify a system and talk you out of the wrong one, but we do not fit anything and we do not quote for installation work. A competent electrician handles most domestic and small commercial jobs perfectly well using parts bought from us.
Can I collect the same day?
